SpeechToSpell lets players cast spells by saying them aloud through a wand, in a Harry Potter-inspired magic system for Fabric.
What it does
Spells are cast by speaking. The player holds a wand, presses the right mouse button, and says the spell out loud while speech recognition listens for it. The mod adds several spells drawn from the Harry Potter universe, and each one is listed in the mod's spell set so players know what to say.
The wand is made with the Wand Maker, a crafting block, and a Crimson Wand is one of the variants made from crimson planks and a string core. Spells are arranged on a spell hotbar. Players open a screen with the N key to configure the hotbar, cycle through it with R, and cast the selected spell with G. The Wand Maker also displays finished wands. A Guide Magic Book, crafted from an amethyst shard and a book, explains how the spells work.
The mod is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and it runs on client and server. Both the server and every player need it. It requires Fabric API and is published for Fabric alone, with builds covering 1.18.2 – 1.20.1 across seven release versions.
