SpectatorPlus shows spectators the held item, health, hotbar, food, experience and open screen of the player they are watching.
What it does
Spectator mode normally hides most of a watched player's state. SpectatorPlus adds that information back to the spectator view: the held item, health, hotbar contents, food and experience level, and any open chest, crafting table or inventory screen. It also fixes a few longstanding Minecraft bugs that affect spectator mode.
Fabric API is required, and Cloth Config API and Mod Menu are optional. The mod runs on Fabric and is also available for Paper servers. Some features need the server side, because Minecraft does not normally send that data to clients; the server needs the mod or a supported Paper setup for those features, and clients without the mod still see the basic spectator view. Permissions can be changed through a plugin or mod such as LuckPerms, using the fabric-permissions-api that SpectatorPlus reads.
Files exist for 11 release versions, 1.20 – 1.21.4, and the latest Fabric file is fabric-1.2.3+mc1.21.4 for 1.21.4, published on 2025-01-08. The code is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, and the source and issue tracker are public.

Held item and health
A spectator sees the item the watched player holds and the player's current health.
Hotbar and food
The hotbar contents, food level and experience level of the spectated player appear in the spectator view.

When the watched player opens a chest, crafting table or inventory, the spectator can see that screen.
Teleport continuity
Spectating can continue after the watched player teleports far away or moves between worlds.
Permission control
Server owners decide which players receive the extra information, using permissions set through a plugin or mod.

Spectator Teleport is client-side only, licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and targets 1.21 – 1.21.3, while SpectatorPlus works on either side, and neither side needs it, and covers 1.20 – 1.21.4. SpectatorTp is client-side only and open source under the MIT License, with files for 1.19 – 1.20.4. Hotbar Heads runs on client and server and is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, for 1.21.5, a version SpectatorPlus does not list.
