Softborder
by raderth
Softborder lets server owners set up world borders that extend beyond the usual world reset, with several custom borders managed through commands.
What it does
Softborder creates a worldborder that persists past a world reset, so areas outside the border can be cleared on a schedule while the playable region stays defined. It is a utility for servers that want to delete chunks at the edge of a world and keep the rest in place. Each border can be created, removed, inspected and listed, and a dimension can be reset on its own without touching the others.
Players who end up outside a border when a reset runs are kicked, and chunks that players are loading at the edge can fail to delete, which the mod reports rather than hiding. Softborder runs entirely on the server side, so players join without installing anything. Files are published for Fabric only, for Minecraft 1.21.5, and the mod needs Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin to start.
Key features
Persistent world borders
A border is kept across world resets, so the boundary of the playable area survives a reset cycle.
Five management commands
Commands create, remove, inspect, list and reset borders, giving admins control over each one.
Per-dimension reset
A single dimension can be reset individually, leaving the other dimensions and their borders untouched.
Multiple custom borders
Several borders can be defined at once, each with its own settings, for servers that need more than one boundary.

Use cases
Edge cleanup on a server
Server owners can delete chunks beyond the border while keeping the inner area, which suits long-running survival worlds.
Who it’s for: Server administrators who want to define and reset world borders with commands, and who accept that players outside a border will be kicked when a reset runs.
