SmiteCommand

by thatgurkangurk

SmiteCommand adds a smite command that strikes a chosen player with lightning, and it runs only on the server.

FabricServer-side onlyGNU General Public License v3.0 onlyOpen source1.21.3 – 1.21.4

What it does

Running the smite command on a target player calls down lightning on that player. The command works only when the operator has the smitecommand.smite permission or the command.run permission. Permission checks use the fabric-permissions-api mod, which the SmiteCommand jar already bundles, so no separate install is needed for that part. Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin are required and must be installed on the server beside SmiteCommand.

Key features

  1. Smite command

A server operator can strike a chosen player with lightning through a single command.

  2. Permission control

Use is limited to operators holding the smitecommand.smite or command.run permission.

  3. Bundled permissions API

The fabric-permissions-api code ships inside the mod, so permission checks work without a separate install.

Questions

Does SmiteCommand need Fabric Language Kotlin?

Yes. Fabric Language Kotlin and Fabric API are both required dependencies, so both must be installed on the server with SmiteCommand.

Who can run the smite command?

Only players with the smitecommand.smite permission or the command.run permission can use it, and permissions are checked through the bundled fabric-permissions-api code.
