Slow Your Roll
Slow Your Roll is a Fabric mod that slows progression with flint copper tools, copper armor, unbaked foods and stack limits, and it is configurable in game.
What it does
Flint copper tools replace the wooden and stone tiers: flint-based tools gather copper, and copper tools gather iron, so early tools are not skipped. Bark, obtained by stripping wood, can be re-applied to stripped logs, and a copper armor set and a netherite horse armor add gear to the mid game.
Unbaked versions of Minecraft's baked goods are added, and food stacks are limited in size, which slows how quickly players stock up. The mod runs on Fabric and needs both the server and every player to have it. Its own settings can be changed in game through Mod Menu if that mod is installed. Fabric API is required.
Files cover 1.21 – 1.21.4, with 1.21.4-1.1.1 for 1.21.4 as the latest release, published on 2024-12-04. The code is under the MIT License and is not open source. The author credits Pure Copper Tools by purejosh for the copper armor textures, used under the MIT license.
