Slap Battles is a Forge mod that brings the glove-based combat of the Roblox game Slap Battles into Minecraft, with gloves that grant special effects and ranged powers.
What it does
Gloves are the core of the mod. Each glove gives its wearer a distinct effect or ability at range, and the stronger gloves carry more power. Most gloves are available from the start of a world, while others require certain advancements first. The mod is built for Forge on Minecraft 1.18.2 and 1.20.1, and it runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Geckolib is a required dependency and must be installed alongside it.
Versions 6.1 and above need Geckolib. Version 10.0 and above no longer supports 1.18.2, so 1.18.2 players stay on earlier builds. A Boogie icon appears when the player earns the Boogie advancement, and the artwork for it was made by GravityBreaker. Guides for the gloves are available on a YouTube channel, and the credits name Dokuro, Desolo and Zantas for the music and other contributions. A later build was ported to Fabric. The author warns that the stronger gloves can behave unpredictably, so players should be careful and avoid deleting an Ender Dragon in an unplanned way.
