SkyBoxed
by Frqme
SkyBoxed lets players replace the Minecraft sky with a panoramic image of their own, and the choice is applied without restarting the game.
What it does
SkyBoxed is a Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.21.11 that swaps the default sky for a custom image. Players open the Video Settings menu, reach the skybox screen and pick an image from their collection, which then becomes the active background at once. No resource pack is needed, and no game restart or resource reload is required to switch between images.
Players can drag .png or .jpg files from their desktop onto the game window to add them to the collection. The chosen skybox is saved automatically and loads again on the next launch, so the setup persists between sessions. The mod runs on the client alone, so players can add it to single-player or multiplayer clients without any change on the server side.
SkyBoxed is published for Fabric only, with a single build, 1.0 for 1.21.11, released on 2026-07-01. It is licensed as All rights reserved, so the code is not open source.

Use cases
Replacing scenery without resource packs
Players who want a different sky can use a single image instead of installing and managing a full resource pack.
Testing backgrounds quickly
Because switching is instant, a player can compare several panoramas in the same world without reloading.
Who it’s for: Players on Fabric 1.21.11 who want a custom sky background on their own client. Server owners do not need to install anything, since the mod is client-side only.
