Simple Netherite Upgrade removes the smithing template step, so a netherite ingot applied to a diamond tool upgrades it directly.

What it does

Players no longer need smithing templates to upgrade netherite tools and armor. The upgrade works the way it did before the template system: a netherite ingot combined with a diamond item gives the netherite version. The mod is server required, with client optional, and is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 18 release versions, 1.20 – 1.21.11, under the MIT License.
