SimpleCoords
by Fayber
SimpleCoords puts a small coordinate readout on the HUD, showing XYZ position, subchunk, facing direction and the current biome.
What it does
The HUD reads its position from the camera, so it stays accurate while freecam is active or when the player is riding a vehicle or animal. Precision of the XYZ values can be set from 0 to 5 decimal places, and the subchunk position and facing direction appear beside them. Biome display is a separate toggle, so it can be hidden without touching the coordinates.
A translucent background behind the text can be turned on for readability over busy terrain. Settings are reached through Modern Config when that mod is installed, including HUD X and Y sliders and a drag editor; without it, a built-in configuration screen is used. Mod Menu, if present, adds a config entry point. Modern Config is optional.
SimpleCoords is client-side only, so the server needs nothing and players join without installing it. It requires Fabric API on Fabric. The NeoForge build is published for 1.21.1, and Fabric files cover 1.21.1, 1.21.10, 26.1.2, 26.2 and 26.3. It is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later.
Key features
Coordinate readout
A compact HUD lists the player's X, Y and Z position, updated as the player moves.
Adjustable precision
The number of decimal places for coordinates can be set anywhere from 0 to 5.
Biome and subchunk display
The current biome and the subchunk position appear on the readout, and the biome line can be shown or hidden.
Camera-based position
Values come from the camera rather than the player entity, so freecam and riding do not show the wrong location.
Configurable layout
The HUD position and background can be adjusted through sliders or a drag editor in Modern Config.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players who want a permanent coordinate display on their client and do not want to open the F3 debug screen. Server owners do not need to install anything for it to work.
How it compares
Here 'n' There is client-side only and open source under the Apache License 2.0, with Fabric and NeoForge files for 1.21 – 26.3, so it covers more loaders and older versions. Simple Info Display is also client-side only and open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, but is published for Fabric only and for 1.21 – 26.2. Direction HUD is client required with the server optional and is not open source under All rights reserved, limited to Fabric and 1.21.8 – 26.3.
