Silly's Crop XP
by sillyygoober
Silly's Crop XP gives players experience points when they harvest fully grown crops, on Fabric servers that run it alone.
What it does
Breaking a grown crop grants a set amount of experience, so harvesting wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroot and nether wart becomes a source of XP. The amount each crop gives is set in the mod's configuration file, which holds a minimum and a maximum value per crop. The mod is aimed at survival, SMP and RPG-style servers where farming should reward players.
Editing the values takes a few steps: open the world save folder, edit the sillys crop xp.json file in a text editor, then restart the server or rejoin the singleplayer world. Deleting the file lets the mod regenerate it with defaults the next time the server starts or the world loads. The mod is server-side only, so players join without installing it. Silly's Crop XP requires Fabric API and is released under the MIT License as open source, with files for Fabric across 16 release versions, 1.20 – 1.21.8.
Key features
XP from grown crops
Breaking a fully grown crop grants experience points, with no change to how crops are planted or grown.
Per-crop configuration
Each crop has a minimum and a maximum XP value in the sillys crop xp.json file, so server owners set the reward for each one.
Lightweight design
The mod is small and optimized, adding a single reward step to the harvest action.
Regenerating config
Deleting the configuration file makes the mod create it again with default values on the next start or world load.

How it compares
Harvest XP is a Fabric mod for 1.20.5 – 1.21.10, released under All rights reserved, where the server needs it and players may add it. XP Farm is a Fabric mod for 1.21.7 only, under the MIT License, and it has to be installed on both the client and the server. Crops XP is open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, for 1.20.1 – 1.21.10, and the server needs it while players may leave it out.
