Sheepish's Fragments lets players craft mob spawners in survival by harvesting souls from vanilla mobs, with a small chance that a mob drops one on death.

What it does

Soul items come from vanilla mobs, either through a small chance of a soul dropping on death or through a Soul Reaper enchantment. Souls are then combined with iron bars and other materials to craft a mob spawner, which vanilla survival normally does not allow. Spawner fragments, cut diamonds and diamond sticks are added as intermediate materials, and a spawner can be broken with a silk touch pickaxe to keep it.

The mod is a Fabric mod for 1.20.2 – 1.20.4, with builds for 1.20.2, 1.20.3 and 1.20.4. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. The code is open source under the MIT License, and the source code and issue tracker are public.
