Scarpet additions

by replaceitem

Scarpet additions extends the Scarpet language of the Carpet mod with color conversion, HTTP requests and HTML escaping functions.

FabricServer-side onlyMIT LicenseOpen source1.19 – 26.3

What it does

The mod adds a set of functions to the Scarpet scripting language that Carpet provides. Scarpet additions requires Carpet, and the Carpet mod must be installed alongside it on Fabric. Because the environment is server-side only, players join without installing anything, and only the server needs the mod.

Color helpers convert a color between RGB, RGBA and HSB input models and RGB, RGBA, HEX and NUM outputs, depending on the model given. Other functions send HTTP requests with a chosen method, custom headers and options, and they can block the script or run as a task. Responses are returned with their body parsed as JSON or HTML escaped, and helpers for escaping and unescaping HTML and for encoding and decoding JSON sit alongside them.

Files are published for Fabric only, across 22 release versions in the 1.19 – 26.3 range. The latest Fabric file is 1.1.4 for 26.3, dated 2026-04-08. The code is released under the MIT License and is open source, and public links to the source code, issue tracker and wiki are available.

Key features

  1. Color conversion

A function changes a color's values into another model, such as RGB numbers into a hex string or a packed number.

  2. HTTP requests

Scripts can send a request to a URI with a method such as GET, POST or DELETE, which defaults to GET.

  3. Request options

A map of options sets the headers, and the call can run blocking or as a task, returning a map of response entries.

  4. HTML escaping

Functions escape and unescape HTML strings, and encode and decode JSON for use inside scripts.
