Sands Fall Immediately

by phoupraw

Sands Fall Immediately changes falling blocks such as sand, red sand, anvils and dragon eggs so they drop at once when support is removed.

NeoForgeServer-side onlyMozilla Public License 2.01.21 – 26.1.2

What it does

Normally a falling block waits two ticks before it starts to fall. This mod shortens that wait by changing how falling blocks are scheduled, so the fall begins the moment the block loses its support. The mod runs on NeoForge and needs only the server, since the change happens during world simulation.

Key features

  1. Immediate falling

Blocks such as sand and anvils begin to fall right away instead of waiting the default two ticks.

  2. Disable without restart

A config option turns the mod off, and the change takes effect without restarting the game.

  3. Scheduled tick change

The mod reworks how the FallingBlock scheduled tick runs, so falling is executed immediately rather than delayed.

No. It runs on the server alone, so players need nothing extra to join.

Can the mod be turned off without restarting the game?

Yes. The config option disables the mod, and the change applies without restarting the game.
