SafeLogin
SafeLogin, a Fabric server mod for 1.20.1, keeps players from taking damage while they log in, when mobs and fluids can otherwise harm them.
What it does
On join, the server can make a player invulnerable, invisible and flying, and stop fluids from pushing or sinking them, so a player who logs in inside a mob cluster, a lava pool or mid-air is not hurt before they can act. Server-side mobs that push or teleport a player back to spawn can be handled the same way, so the player is moved to a safe place instead of being damaged.
The mod works through a set of modes. A block can be made unpushable in MOVE mode, and a step off a spawned block in that mode triggers an action. COMMAND mode runs a specified command when the player enters a region. GUI mode opens a screen where the protections can be turned off, which removes invulnerability, invisibility, unpushability and flying from the player. Because it runs only on the server, players join without installing anything.
The mod targets 1.20.1 on Fabric, with a single build, 1.1.2 for 1.20.1, released on 2025-10-23. It requires Fabric API on the server. SafeLogin is open source under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 only, and its source code and issue tracker are public.
Key features
Login protection
Sets a joining player invulnerable, invisible and flying so that damage from mobs or fluids cannot land during login.
Fluid and push resistance
Stops fluids from pushing or sinking the player, and makes a chosen block unpushable in MOVE mode.
Safe relocation
When a mob pushes a player mid-air, the server teleports the player back to the spawn center.
Command and GUI modes
COMMAND mode runs a specified command on a step-off event, while GUI mode lets an operator remove all protections from the player.
Compatibility

Who it’s for: Server owners running modpacks or survival worlds where players are often damaged right after logging in.

What the author says
SafeLogin is to ensure that the player cannot be harmed when they are logging in. It accomplishes this by setting the player to be invulnerable, invisible and flying (to prevent fluid pushing you, sinking into fluid or when you join mid air) on the server side and when pushed by a mob AGGRESIVELY teleports the player…
