RPG Enchantments

by lullaby

RPG Enchantments adds a set of enchantments that give weapons and armor specialized roles, offered as alternatives to the standard vanilla upgrades.

FabricForgeNeoForgeQuiltServer required, client optionalGNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or laterOpen source1.21.2 – 26.3

What it does

Its enchantments are built around distinct RPG roles rather than raw damage. Some reward attack speed and movement, others trade movement speed for survivability, and others focus on reach or heavy sweeping attacks. Because several are mutually exclusive with their vanilla counterparts, a player has to pick a direction instead of stacking every upgrade onto one item.

The enchantments are obtained from the enchantment table, from loot chests and through trading with villagers. Combining specific enchantments produces named archetypes, so a build can be planned around a chosen playstyle. Only the server needs the mod, and it is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later. It is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and also as a data pack, with files for 1.21.2 – 26.3 on the latest release, 1.1.2 for 26.3.

Key features

  1. Role-based enchantments

Enchantments are designed around speed, durability and crowd control, each with a distinct combat role.

  2. Vanilla-exclusive choices

Several new enchantments are mutually exclusive with vanilla ones, so a player must choose between them.

  3. Archetype combinations

Pairing specific enchantments creates archetypes such as a swift striker or a bulwark with cleaving attacks.

  4. Obtainable in the world

Enchantments come from the enchantment table, loot chests and villager trades, not only from creative tools.

Use cases

Specialized gear on a server

A server owner can give players gear with defined roles rather than generalist upgrades.

Build-focused survival

Players who want a specific playstyle can plan weapons around one archetype instead of the default meta.

Who it’s for: Players and server owners who want specialized combat gear with RPG roles. Players who prefer standard vanilla upgrades may find the exclusive choices limiting.

Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt are all supported, and the mod is also available as a data pack.
