Realistic Sleep'in
by Shanezzki
Realistic Sleep'in lets players nap in the afternoon, sleep through daytime danger and rest whenever a bed is used, instead of waiting for night.
What it does
Sleep in the game is normally tied to night and a single wake-up message. This mod removes that restriction, so a bed can be used at any hour, and a character that is exhausted can pass out and rest even when hostile mobs are close by. Placing a bed and right-clicking it starts the rest, and the sleep rules become a matter of player choice.
The mod is server-side only, so only the server needs to run it and players join without installing anything. It is aimed at realism-focused modpacks and hardcore survival worlds where players want to set their own rest rules. Builds exist for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across seven game versions, with 1.0.0 as the latest file for each loader. The code is available as source, but the license is custom and the project is not open source.
Key features
Sleep at any time
Beds can be used in the afternoon or at any other hour, which allows short naps during the day.
Sleep through danger
A character can pass out from exhaustion even with monsters nearby, such as skeletons outside a base.
Bed activation
Placing a bed and right-clicking it starts the rest, so no command or extra item is needed.
Layered sleep rules
Vanilla sleep stays in place while the added rules give server owners and players control over when rest happens.

Who it’s for: Server owners running realism-focused or hardcore survival worlds, and players who want sleep to follow their own rules rather than the night cycle.
