Realistic Rowing changes how the player sits and paddles in a boat, so the rowing motion looks more like real rowing.
What it does
The mod turns the player model around inside the boat so it faces the way a rower would sit, and the paddles move in line with the hands. The effect is most visible when several passengers ride together, since each rower's arms track the oars. Chest boats and rafts carrying animals also get the adjusted seating, which the author describes as a more immersive way to travel with pets and livestock.
Because the change is purely visual and movement-based, it does nothing to recipes, world generation or other gameplay. Side effects only appear on clients that have the mod installed, so players who skip it still ride the boats in the usual way. The mod runs on Fabric and Quilt and is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later, making it open source. Files exist for 1.20 – 26.3 across 21 release versions, and snapshot builds are published as well.
