Radiant

Radiant is a NeoForge fan mod that brings the Knights Radiant of Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive into Minecraft, and it is built for 1.21.1 only.

What it does

Radiant adds content from the universe of Brandon Sanderson's books, centered on the Radiant Orders of the Stormlight Archive series. Its mechanics follow the book setting, including Investiture whose use changes with the Oaths a player has progressed through. Gems, metal cages and Naming Spren are among the in-game elements, and readers should note that the mod reveals story content from the later books.

The mod runs on NeoForge and needs nothing beyond that loader. It works on either side, and neither needs it. The code is open source under the MIT License. Public source code, an issue tracker and a wiki are linked from its page, and the author has listed model and texture work on Cultivationspren and Shardplates as open items.

Radiant was first published on 2024-12-28 and last updated on 2025-10-19 with NeoForge file 2.5.0 for 1.21.1. It is one of the Magic-category mods, and the catalog lists 1968 Magic mods with NeoForge files for 1.21.1.

Use cases

Fans of the books

Readers of Brandon Sanderson's books can play through Radiant themes in a survival or adventure world.

Roleplay servers

Server owners running a Stormlight setting can add the mod to a NeoForge server, since clients may join without it.

Who it’s for: Fans of Brandon Sanderson's books and players who want Radiant Orders content on NeoForge for 1.21.1. Because the mod is optional on both sides, it suits mixed groups.

Questions

Which loader does Radiant need?

Radiant is published for NeoForge only, with files for 1.21.1.

Does Radiant have to be installed on the server?

No. It works on either side, and neither needs it, so a server can run without it and players can join with or without it.

Does Radiant spoil the books?

Yes, it reveals story content up to Wind and Truth, so readers who want to avoid those parts should not enable them.
