FabricClient and serverMIT License1.21

What it does

Its mechanics are meant to keep play flowing while leaving the vanilla experience intact. Floating damage indicators appear above entities when they are hit, auto item refill restocks stacks of buckets, bottles and bowls as they run out, and inventory, chest and container sorting tidies stored items with a single action.

The mod runs mostly on the server, with some parts running on the client to handle display. It is built for Fabric and has files only for Minecraft 1.21, with 1.21-1.1.0-fabric as the latest file, published on 2026-07-14. The server and every player need the mod installed. Its code is licensed under the MIT License.

Key features

  1. Floating damage indicators

Numbers rise above entities when they take damage, showing how much each hit did.

  2. Automatic item refill

Buckets, bottles and bowls are topped up from the inventory once the held stack is used up.

  3. Container sorting

Inventories, chests and other containers can be sorted into a consistent order.

  4. Shift and right click action

Holding Shift while right clicking triggers the mod's quick actions on supported blocks and items.

Use cases

Long building sessions

Refill and sorting keep a player from stopping to restock tools and storage during large projects.

Multiplayer servers

Server owners who want shared quality-of-life features can run the main logic on the server, with players installing the client part.

Who it’s for: Players who want fewer interruptions while building, mining or managing storage on Fabric for Minecraft 1.21. Server owners who want the same conveniences for everyone on a multiplayer world can use it as well.

How it compares

Full comparison

QoL Refined is client-side only, released under the MIT License and published for 1.21 – 1.21.11, so servers do not need it. RmDamageNumbers is also client-side only under the MIT License, but its files cover 1.21.4 – 1.21.8, so it matches Quick QoL only for damage numbers. Auto Refill Slot is client-side only, under All rights reserved, for 1.21 – 26.2, covering refill without the sorting features.
