No Template Netherite Armor Upgrades changes how diamond armor is upgraded to netherite, so the smithing template is no longer needed.

What it does

The data pack alters the armor upgrade recipes, so diamond armor can be upgraded to netherite without a netherite upgrade template, while tools still require the template. Installing it on a server is enough, since players join without it. It is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and the Data pack option uses the same configuration as the mod on Purpur servers. Fabric API is required on Fabric, and the mod goes into the mods folder alongside it.

  1. Templateless armor upgrade

    Diamond armor is upgraded to netherite directly, with no netherite upgrade template in the recipe.

  2. Tools keep the template

    Netherite tools still need the upgrade template, so only the armor recipes change.

  3. Removed recipes without warnings

    Recipes are removed in a way that does not produce console warnings about missing recipes.
