Player Level Skills (LevelZ Rework)
Player Level Skills, called LevelZ Rework in its files, lets a character level up skills that open gear, blocks and bonuses.
What it does
Skills rise with experience, and each level grants points that are spent on a skill tree. A character reaches the top of the tree after 350 points in total: 10 starting points plus 297 points from skill levels, with each level adding 3 more. Rare candy, found in dungeon loot and offered by clerics and wandering traders, is the item that grants extra experience toward skills.
The rework separates enchantments, potions and fixed enchantment blocks into their own skills, and separates agility from water-related attributes so swimming becomes a skill of its own. Anvil costs have no level cap at the top of the Smithing skill, though the material cost still rises. Enchantments apply only once the player meets the minimum magic level for them: a sword with Sharpness 5 will not work for a player below the required level. Bonuses such as improved food scale with skill level, with a chance that stays near 100 percent at the maximum level so it does not become too strong.
Player Level Skills requires Fabric API, Cloth Config API and LibZ Rework, and it runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. It is published for Fabric only, for 1.21.11, and the code is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only. Source code is public.
