Plague's Chat Timestamps

With Plague's Chat Timestamps, each chat message can show the time it was sent, using a format the player sets in the mod's settings.
What it does
The mod is a client-side addition that places a timestamp in front of chat messages. The clock is detected from the player's timezone automatically, and the display can be changed in the format settings: a 12-hour or 24-hour clock, and a date shown with a numerical month or the short or long name of the month, such as Feb or February. Style and color of the timestamp can also be customized.
On Fabric and Quilt the settings screen is reached from inside the game through Mod Menu, which is an optional dependency. On Forge and NeoForge the settings are reached the same way when Cloth Config API is present. Cloth Config API is also optional, and the settings can be edited in the configuration file in the config folder for anyone who prefers that route. Because the mod runs on the client, it needs no installation on the server, though servers may ask players before screenshots are taken during joins.
