Pillager Caravans

by Obscuria

Pillager Caravans sends roaming pillager convoys across the world, and each biome they pass shapes the loot they carry.

FabricForgeNeoForgeQuiltClient and serverCustom license1.20.1 – 26.1.2

What it does

Caravans travel between regions instead of waiting in one place, so encounters happen along the route rather than only inside dungeons. The cargo changes with the landscape: jungle caravans haul exotic goods and rare plants, desert convoys carry sugar cane and hardy supplies, and snowy routes bring food stocks and provisions.

The animals escorting a caravan are chosen to match the regions it crosses. Each one has its own loot table, so the companions drop different items from one encounter to the next. Fragmentum is required on every loader, and the mod runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, covering 1.20.1, 1.21.1, 26.1, 26.1.1 and 26.1.2 under a custom license that is not open source.

Key features

  1. Roaming caravans

Caravans move across the world on their own routes, creating encounters away from fixed structures.

  2. Biome-themed cargo

What a caravan carries depends on the region it is passing through, from exotic plants in jungles to food in snowy areas.

  3. Escort animals with loot tables

Creatures that fit each region accompany the caravan, and each one drops items from its own loot table.

  4. Guarded convoys

Caravans travel with escorts, so a convoy is a group fight rather than a single mob.

What the author says

Instead of staying put, caravans travel across the world, creating dynamic encounters. Sometimes treasure doesn't wait quietly in a dungeon, but passes right by your doorstep. Each region shapes what its caravans carry. Jungles may offer exotic goods and rare plants, deserts trade in sugar cane and hardy supplies…
