Loot Journal: Pickup Notifier
by Obscuria
Players who want to see each pickup as it happens can run Loot Journal: Pickup Notifier, a client-side mod that shows animated item and experience notifications along the edge of the screen.
What it does
Notifications slide in from the screen edge and stack, merge and position themselves so that large pickup bursts are grouped rather than flooding the view. Rare finds receive a special effect, and entries pulse when they update. Item and experience pickups are both covered, and total counts are kept across containers.
Several built-in visual themes ship with the mod, each with its own style and layout, and every theme can be adjusted on its own. Resource packs can add new themes. The mod also includes a feed of what nearby players pick up in real time, with player filters and an option to stay hidden through invisibility or a carved pumpkin, and it works on vanilla servers.
The mod requires Fragmentum. Loot Journal: Pickup Notifier is client-side only, so servers do not need it. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with builds covering 1.20.1 – 26.1.2 across six release versions, and the mod is released under a custom license that is not open source.
