Pet Cemetery

by Team Abnormals

When a tamed Wolf, Cat or Parrot dies, Pet Cemetery leaves a collar that can bring the animal back as an undead pet at a charged Respawn Anchor.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverCustom license1.19.2 – 1.21.1

What it does

A pet that dies drops a Pet Collar, which is colored like the pet's original collar and shows the pet's details in its description. Wolves, Cats and Parrots can drop collars. Collars do not burn in lava. Right-clicking a charged Respawn Anchor with the collar consumes it and returns the pet as a Zombie version.

Zombie pets move more slowly and deal less damage than their living forms, but have more health. A Zombie pet can be cured with a Weakness potion and a Golden Apple, in the same way as a Zombie Villager. If a Zombie pet dies, it drops a collar that can be used again. Using a collar on a Zombie pet at an anchor produces a Skeleton pet instead, which has less health and more damage and speed, drops no collar when it dies, and cannot be changed back.

The mod is published for Forge and NeoForge only, with builds for 1.19.2 – 1.21.1 under a custom license that is not open source. It needs Blueprint on both loaders. Pet Cemetery runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it.

Key features

  1. Pet collars from tamed animals

Wolves, Cats and Parrots drop a collar when they die, carrying the pet's details and original collar color.

  2. Respawn at an anchor

A charged Respawn Anchor turns a collar into an undead pet when the collar is right-clicked on it.

  3. Zombie pets

Zombie pets have altered stats and can be cured with a Weakness potion and a Golden Apple.

  4. Skeleton pets

Attempting to respawn a Zombie pet yields a Skeleton pet with more damage and speed, which drops no collar.
