Incubation brings egg-themed content to Forge and NeoForge worlds, with nests that steer where chickens lay and crates for egg storage.

What it does

Chickens are steered toward a Twig Nest or a Hay Nest to lay their eggs, rather than dropping them wherever they happen to be. Crates of Chicken Eggs and Turtle Eggs serve as decorative storage blocks for each egg type. Fried and scrambled eggs are added as food items, and two new paintings join the existing set.

Blueprint is required and must be installed beside Incubation on both sides. Autumnity and Environmental are optional and are not needed for the core features. Builds cover 1.16.1, 1.18.2, 1.19.2, 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, with the Forge file targeting 1.20.1 and the NeoForge file targeting 1.21.1.

Installation covers the server and each player's game. The code is under a custom license and the mod is not open source, though public links for source, issues and the wiki are available. Vanilla Backport X Incubation Compat and Nest Egg both require Incubation.
