Pack Analytics
by Txni
Pack Analytics sends an anonymous player count to a metrics server so modpack authors can track how many people play their pack over time.
What it does
Each client sends a periodic keepalive request containing only the modpack version it runs. The request carries no player name, username or ID, so the metrics count online players without identifying them. The metrics endpoint, the pack ID and the interval between keepalive requests are all set in the mod's config.
The data is meant for a companion server, which stores counts per modpack ID in InfluxDB and can forward them to Grafana for historical graphs. It requires Fabric API and TxniLib, and it is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge for 1.20 – 1.21.1, under a custom license that is not open source. Source code and an issue tracker are publicly linked.
Key features
Anonymous player counts
Each request states only that a player is online and which modpack version is in use, with no personal data attached.
Configurable endpoint
The metrics URL, pack ID and keepalive interval can be changed, so authors can point installs at their own server.
Pack version reporting
The modpack version reported in each request can be read from the mod's config, so the figures match the release players run.
Example collector
A public example server collects current usage per modpack ID and can optionally send the figures on to Grafana.

Use cases
Tracking a modpack's audience
Pack authors can see how many players are online over days or weeks and compare the figures across releases.
Self-hosted metrics
Teams that run their own collector can set the endpoint and send counts to their own InfluxDB and Grafana setup.
Who it’s for: Modpack authors who want anonymous usage figures for their pack and server owners who run a collector for it.
How it compares
More Stats is client and server, open source under the MIT License and available for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 1.19 – 26.3, so it covers more loaders and versions. FabricExporter is server-side only, open source under the MIT License and built for Fabric alone on 1.16.5 – 26.2, so players need nothing installed. Pack Analytics is client and server with a custom license that is not open source.
