A Fabric server that needs its metrics read by Prometheus can use FabricExporter, a server-side mod that serves them in the Prometheus format.
What it does
FabricExporter runs on the server only, so players join without installing anything. Once the server is running, the mod exposes a general metrics endpoint in the Prometheus text format that a Prometheus instance can scrape. Prometheus itself must be installed separately to collect the metrics, and Grafana is suggested for building dashboards from them. Fabric API is a required dependency.
Each metric can be turned off through the exporter.properties file in the config folder, which the mod creates after the first start. Property names are the metric names without their prefix, so disabling the player count takes a single line. Metrics are enabled by default, and a property missing from the file can be added by hand. The mod is published for Fabric across 23 release versions, 1.16.5 – 26.2, with 1.0.22 for 26.2 as the latest file. Server owners who want TPS and MSPT figures also need the optional spark mod on the server.

How it compares
Entity Exporter is also a server-side Fabric mod under the MIT License, with files for 1.20 – 1.21.8, so it covers a narrower version range than FabricExporter. Recipe Images Exporter targets only 1.19.2 and runs on the client alone, which makes it unrelated to server metrics. ServerStats is server-side and open source under the MIT License, but its files cover only 1.17 – 1.17.1.
