Daggers & Knives adds a set of hand-held blade weapons to the Forge game, from wooden knives up to netherite versions, for players who want sharper melee options.

What it does

Each blade in the set is a separate weapon with its own stats, ranging from a wooden knife through stone, gold and diamond to a netherite knife and a dagger. The weapons trade damage for speed in different ways: some strike rapidly with little damage per hit, while others hit hard but slowly. Several blades also carry improved attack values, and the netherite knife resists lava and fire.

The mod is for Forge on Minecraft 1.20.1 only, and it is needed on both sides: the server and every player must run it. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. The code is under the MIT License, but the project is not open source, so the source is not published as an open project. The author notes that more weapons are planned and that changes are made over time, so the set may grow in later builds.
