Obliteration Scythe

by ApolloAxo

Obliteration Scythe adds a giant scythe for Forge with an extremely expensive recipe and several unusual abilities.

ForgeClient and serverMIT License1.20.1

What it does

The scythe deals a very high attack damage value and is built as an oversized weapon, in the style of older Minecraft mods that featured giant overpowered weapons. Its recipe is deliberately costly, requiring a series of Absolute Purity recipe steps, so crafting it is a long project rather than an early-game task.

Striking an entity calls down lightning on it, and the strikes alert nearby players to the location. Right-clicking with the scythe launches an explosion in the area around the player. The mod is client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Files are published for Forge only, for Minecraft 1.20.1, with 1.3.0 as the latest file. The code is released under the MIT License, and the mod is not open source.

Key features

  1. Giant scythe weapon

A large scythe item with a very high attack damage value and a health value shown as an extremely large number.

  2. Lightning strikes

Hitting a target brings lightning down on it, marking the spot for players nearby.

  3. Area explosion

Right-clicking with the scythe triggers an explosion around the player, pushing enemies away.

  4. Absolute Purity recipes

Six Absolute Purity recipe stages must be completed in order before the scythe can be crafted.

Use cases

Late-game showpiece

Server events

Lightning strikes and explosions can serve as visible effects during staged fights or events on a multiplayer server.

Who it’s for: Players who want a single oversized weapon with a costly crafting path, on Forge 1.20.1 servers and clients that both run the mod.
