Oasis 2.0

by Decart

Oasis 2.0 restyles the look of a Minecraft world in real time, using a video-to-video AI model that changes visuals while the game runs.

What it does

Oasis 2.0 is a client-side Fabric mod that sends the rendered game through a real-time video-to-video model from Decart, a model the mod calls Lucy-Restyle. Players choose a style by entering a text prompt, and the visuals change live during play. The mod is built around prompts, so a single preset can turn a world into a different place or era without any texture pack.

Preset prompts can be saved and switched with keys during a session, and an effect can be temporarily hidden while a key is held or toggled with another key. Styles range from real places such as Venice, Paris, New York and India to settings like the Wild West, a medieval village, a jungle, Antarctica or the moon, and to looks such as anime, pixel art or a candy land. Because the style comes from a prompt, the set of possible looks is not fixed by the mod.

The mod depends on Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin, both of which must be installed alongside it. It needs a Fabric instance on Minecraft 1.21.8, and the catalog lists files for 1.21.4 and 1.21.8, with the latest Fabric file, 1.1.6, targeting 1.21.8. The code is under the MIT License, and the project is not open source.

Key features

  1. Real-time style transfer

The rendered game is restyled live by a video-to-video AI model, so the look updates while the player moves around.

  2. Prompt-based styles

Each look is driven by a text prompt, and players can type their own to describe a setting or aesthetic they want.

  3. Saved presets

Favorite prompts can be stored as presets and switched with keys, which makes it quick to move between styles.

  4. Temporary effect hiding

The effect can be hidden while a key is held or toggled off with another key, to see the unrestyled world.

Use cases

Exploring imagined places

Players travel between invented or real locations, such as a jungle, a Parisian street or the moon, without leaving their world.

Testing looks for a build

Builders can preview how a structure or landscape looks under different settings before deciding on a style.

Who it’s for: Players who want to see their world in a different style and are willing to run an AI-based effect on their own client. Servers do not need the mod, since it runs on the client alone.
