NoTextureRotations
by rfresh2
NoTextureRotations stops Fabric from rotating and offsetting block textures by their world coordinates, so grass, dirt and stone keep a fixed look across the world.
What it does
Many blocks such as grass, dirt, stone and their variants pick a texture variant from a seed tied to the block position, which slightly rotates or shifts the texture. Those offsets can reveal the coordinates of a block, and the mod exists to prevent that exposure on servers where attackers study screenshots and videos to crack bases. The offset generation is changed so that the same rotation or offset repeats across a chunk section of 16x16x16 blocks, and the randomness is stable within a game session instead of being reshuffled on reload.
The mod offers several modes, and the chosen mode can be set in the in-game Video Settings page that it adds. Two ways to configure it are available: through Mod Menu with YetAnotherConfigLib, or directly in the game. Sodium and vanilla resource packs are supported, and the mod requires Fabric API. It is open source under the Apache License 2.0 and runs on the client alone.
Key features
Texture rotation prevention
Blocks stop rotating their textures based on absolute world position, which removes the coordinate pattern.
Chunk section offsets
Offsets repeat within each 16x16x16 chunk section, so blocks in the same section share one rotation.
Stable random offsets
Generated offsets are remembered for the game session instead of being regenerated on every reload.
Selectable modes
Several modes let players choose how strongly textures vary, with the choice made in the Video Settings page.

Who it’s for: Players on multiplayer servers where base hiding matters, and players who prefer textures that look the same everywhere.
How it compares
Item Frame Tweaks is a Fabric client-side mod for 1.19.3 – 1.21.1, open source under the MIT License, and it changes item frames rather than block textures. Rotation Locker: Relocked is also open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license and covers 1.16.5 – 26.3, but it is not client-side only in the same way. Centered Flora is open source under the MIT License for 1.21 – 26.3 and is client-side only, targeting flower offsets rather than the full block set.
