NoExpensive

by Enaium

Players who repair heavily enchanted gear at an anvil meet the Too Expensive limit, and NoExpensive removes that restriction on the server.

FabricLegacy FabricServer required, client optionalMIT LicenseOpen source1.7.10 – 26.3

What it does

NoExpensive removes the anvil's expensive restriction and lets any enchantment combine with another, including pairs that vanilla treats as incompatible. The mod is server required and client optional: the server must run it to apply the changes, while a player may add it to see the same behavior locally. The maximum repair cost can be set in the configuration, and custom enchantment compatibility rules can be defined there as well.

Several enchantment pairs count as compatible by default, and that list can be edited. Configuration uses MineConf, which is a required dependency alongside Fabric API, Fabric Language Kotlin and Legacy Fabric API on Legacy Fabric. The source is published under the MIT License as open source. Files target 1.7.10 – 26.3 with snapshot builds published, and the latest Fabric file is 26.3-1.11.1 for 26.3.

Key features

  1. Anvil restriction removed

The Too Expensive message no longer blocks repairs or combinations at the anvil.

  2. Any enchantment combination

Enchantments that normally conflict can be combined on the same item at the anvil.

  3. Configurable repair cost

A maximum repair cost can be set in the configuration file to limit extreme combinations.

  4. Custom compatibility rules

Server owners can define which enchantments are compatible with each other in the configuration.

Server economies

Server owners who want to remove the anvil cost barrier can run the mod and set their own repair cost cap.

Who it’s for: Server owners who want to change anvil rules for their players, and players on servers that run the mod who combine enchantments often. Single-player players can also install it to match the same rules.
