NeoAuth

by Mrbysco

NeoAuth brings account authentication to NeoForge and Forge, aimed at re-validating a session before connecting to a server.

What it does

NeoAuth is a client-side only mod. It re-validates the player's session so that the session validation error, a known obstacle when joining a server, is avoided. Where the original Auth Me targets Fabric, NeoAuth is written for NeoForge from the start, and it keeps almost all of Auth Me's features except offline authentication on that loader. Only the client needs it; servers run without it. Builds cover 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, published for Forge and NeoForge under the MIT License, and the code is open source.

Key features

  1. Session re-validation

Re-validates the player's session before connecting, avoiding the session validation error on server join.

  2. Account authentication

Handles account authentication on the client, so players can connect to servers that require it.

  3. Offline authentication left out

Unlike Auth Me, the NeoForge version does not include offline authentication, keeping the feature set narrower.
