Distant Friends brings eerie player-like mobs into the world, and they stand still at a distance until a player gets close.

What it does

The mod adds mobs that look like players. From afar they stand in the open and swing at the air or move in a sneaking pose, then vanish as soon as a player walks up to them. It needs Fabric API on Fabric and Forge Config API Port on Forge and NeoForge. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Builds cover 1.18.2 – 26.2 and the mod is released under the MIT License, so it is open source.
