by Anakin_Guy

Mine Tools and Blocks MC is a Forge world generation mod that adds new ores, metal and gem materials, and blocks to the 1.12.2 world.

ForgeClient or server, optionalAll rights reserved1.12.2

What it does

New ore blocks are placed in the world at set altitudes, with copper generating near Y=96 and tungsten near Y=40. A measuring block for the Nether world and a coal generation option that roughly doubles the ore count are also included. Ore dictionary support lets crushers and crafting recipes accept some of the ores, such as copper, iron and gold, along with tungsten, silver, tin, lead, aluminum and several other metals.

Items from the mod have their own durability values, ranging from 32 uses for gold up to 1561 for diamond. The mod also brings back items removed from vanilla in older versions, such as the Quiver and studded armor, along with some backported blocks like stripped logs, double stone slabs and shrubs, plus a few debug items. A configuration file was added in version 1.0.7 to adjust settings.

The mod is published for Forge only, for the game version 1.12.2. Players can install it on either side, and neither the client nor the server is required to run it. It is released under All rights reserved and is not open source. The latest Forge file is 1.0.7 for 1.12.2, dated 2025-08-30.
