MTAB: FastCraft MC

A dedicated FastCraft screen lets a player craft an item with a single click, without arranging ingredients in the crafting grid. The mod checks the inventory and lists the recipes that can be made right away, while recipes with missing materials are shown as unavailable. Recipes are sorted into categories such as Building Blocks, Tools, Weapons and Food, so the list can be browsed without searching.

The crafting system is based on the one used in the Legacy Console Edition, which many players regard as one of the most user-friendly crafting designs Minecraft has had. Standard vanilla crafting mechanics still apply, so the mod changes how recipes are picked and placed rather than what can be made. It is aimed at players who want fewer steps per recipe and a shorter path from inventory to finished item.

The mod runs on client and server, so both sides need it. It is published only for Forge 1.12.2. The latest file, 0.0.1, was released on 2026-06-13 on the alpha channel, and the mod is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
