Fast Home Command MC
by Anakin_Guy
Fast Home Command revives the old home command for Forge, letting a player teleport back to a personal spawn point set with a bed.
What it does
The mod teleports a player to a personal home point, not to the shared world spawn. Setting that point works through a bed and the home command, and the teleport crosses dimensions automatically when the home point is in another world. The idea follows the early Minecraft Java Edition Alpha home command, which was added in Alpha v1.0.16 and later removed; the older back-to-bed behavior sent players only to the world spawn.
Fast Home Command is a lightweight server-side mod for the 1.12.2 version of Minecraft on Forge, with one file published as 1.0.1 on 2026-04-04. It runs on the server alone, so players join without installing anything. The license is All rights reserved, and the code is not open source.
Server owners who want a simple go-home command without a larger teleport system can use the mod as a single feature. It has no dependencies listed, so it can be added without other mods.
Key features
Personal home point
A player sets a home point with a bed, and the home command returns that player to it rather than to the world spawn.
Home command
Typing the home command sends the player straight to the saved point, with no extra steps or menus.
Cross-dimensional travel
A home point in another dimension is reached automatically, so the player does not need to change worlds first.
Alpha-style behavior
The command adapts the early Alpha idea of a go-home command to modern game mechanics on 1.12.2.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Use cases
Survival base trips
A player who builds in one area can return to a bed-set home from anywhere in the world.
Multi-dimension play
Players who keep bases in the Nether or The End can jump back to a home point in another dimension with one command.
Who it’s for: Server owners running 1.12.2 on Forge who want a home command that returns each player to a personal spawn point.
How it compares
TeleportHome is server-side only, open source under the MIT License, and published for Forge and NeoForge on 1.20.1. Simple Teleport needs both client and server and is released under the MIT License for 1.20.1 – 1.21.1. Fast Home Command is server-side only, not open source, and covers only 1.12.2 on Forge.

What the author says
Fast Home Command is a lightweight mod that brings back the functionality of the old /home command from early Minecraft versions (Java Edition Alpha). Unlike its historical predecessor, which only teleported players to the world spawn, this mod sends you to your personal spawn point set by a bed or the /spawnpoint…
