ElevatorMod
by VsnGamer
Players who need vertical travel between floors can place two or more ElevatorMod elevators in the same column and jump or sneak to move between them.
What it does
Each elevator is crafted with the recipe from OpenBlocks and can be re-dyed. Stacking two or more elevators at the same X and Z coordinates links them, so a jump moves a player to the elevator above and sneaking moves them to the one below. A right click with an empty hand opens the options screen for the elevator.
The configuration file controls the range of the elevators and whether teleporting costs experience. It is stored per world at /serverconfig/elevatorid-server.toml. Most blocks can be applied as camouflage, with exceptions such as chests, which use a different rendering method.
The mod is open source under the MIT License and requires Fabric API. The server and every player need the mod installed. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across game versions 1.12.2 – 26.3, with 26.3 the latest Fabric and NeoForge file.
Key features
Stacked elevator travel
Elevators placed in the same column link together, and jumping or sneaking moves a player between them.
Dyeable elevators
Any elevator can be re-dyed to match the surrounding build.
Directional arrival
When the Directional option is on, arriving players are turned to face the configured direction, and an arrow can be shown or hidden on the block.
Block camouflage
Most blocks can be used to disguise an elevator, with chests excluded because of how they are rendered.
Configurable range and cost
Range and the experience requirement for teleporting can be set in the per-world configuration file.

Use cases
Building multi-floor structures
A builder can stack elevators through several floors of a tower or base to move between levels without stairs.
Hiding elevators in builds
Camouflage lets a player blend the elevator shafts into walls or decor.
Who it’s for: Players who build vertical transport in survival or creative worlds, and server owners who want shared elevators on a multiplayer server that also runs the mod.
How it compares
OpenBlocks Elevator (Fabric) is a Fabric-only port with files for 1.18 – 1.21.11, released under the MIT License but not open source. Working Elevators is open source under the MIT License, runs on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.18 – 1.21.4, and needs the server while clients may leave it out. Better Elevators Mod is open source under the Apache License 2.0 and is NeoForge-only for 1.21 – 1.21.4.
