MovableGUI
by Redheris
MovableGUI lets players move chest-style container screens away from the centre of the display and hide the dark background behind them.
What it does
Chest-like container screens normally sit in the middle of the window and cover what is happening there. MovableGUI lets a player drag such a screen to another position, so the area behind it stays visible. The dark overlay that usually dims the game behind an open container can also be turned off, either by a key or in the mod's options.
The mod was written for a specific problem: watching the results of plugins that run on the server and change things the player sees, such as armor stand positioning, where those results appear in the centre of the screen. It is a small client-side change, and its author describes it as simple. Files are published for Fabric only, for 26.3 as the latest build, and the mod requires Fabric API.
It is installed on the player's side alone, so servers need nothing. The code is open source under the MIT License, and public source code links are available. Builds exist for 1.21.11, 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2, 26.2 and 26.3.
Key features
Drag container screens
Alt and the left mouse button together move the container screen's cursor position, so the window can be placed away from the middle.
Toggle the dark background
Shift and V together switch the translucent dark background on and off, so the game behind a container stays visible.
Keep the dark overlay off
With the background disabled, a container screen opens without the dimming overlay over the rest of the game.
Built for plugin output
The mod helps when results from plugins that run on a remote host, such as armor stand positioning, appear in the centre of the screen.

Use cases
Watching server plugins
A player running plugins that act on a remote host can move an open container aside to watch the results in the centre of the screen.
Who it’s for: Players who open chest-style containers while watching the centre of the game, and players who work with server plugins that show their effects there.

What the author says
This is a tiny, slightly janky client-side mod that allows you to reposition chest-container-type GUIs and optionally disable the dark background overlay. The main reason for this mod is simple: sometimes you need to see what’s happening in the center of the screen, which is normally fully covered by the GUI. This is…
