The Deep Void
by Sombrius
The Deep Void adds a horror dimension reached by falling through a hole in the bedrock at 0,0, where players explore unusual biomes and face hostile creatures.
What it does
Players enter the dimension by falling into the Void, which opens at the deepest layer of a world at 0,0; an Abducter or the End can also send them there. The dimension holds several biomes, from bone wastelands to flesh plains, along with hostile and passive entities. Leaving requires crafting and using a Void Pendant.
The central threat is a creature that hunts in the dark and retreats from light sources. Players can avoid it by staying lit, hiding in a hole, knocking it back with a ranged item, or distracting it with a thrown treat, and the config file can disable it. Bosses with complex attack patterns guard rewards of stronger weapons and armor. The mod requires Geckolib on Forge and NeoForge, and the Curios add-on The Deep Void: Curios depends on this mod.
The mod is published for Forge and NeoForge across five release versions, 1.19.2 – 1.20.6, under the MIT License. Client and server both need it, and the latest files are 1.99.3.1 for 1.20.1 on Forge and 1.99 for 1.20.6 on NeoForge.
