More Furnaces (Polymer)
by Jong
With More Furnaces installed on a server, the furnaces players place cook faster, and the upgrade tiers follow the vanilla ore progression from iron to netherite.
What it does
More Furnaces adds furnace blocks in four tiers: Iron Furnace at 2x speed, Gold Furnace at 3x speed, Diamond Furnace at 4x speed and Netherite Furnace at 6x speed. Each tier is a separate block that smelts items faster than the vanilla furnace it replaces.
Speed and efficiency are adjustable with two furnace modules. A Speed Furnace Module raises the cooking speed but doubles fuel consumption, while an Efficiency Furnace Module halves fuel consumption at the cost of speed. The mod is server-side only, so players join without installing it. It requires Fabric API, and it uses Polymer, which needs AutoHost enabled on the server for the custom blocks to reach clients.
Files are published for Fabric alone, with builds for 1.21.2 – 26.3 across 14 release versions. The mod is open source under the MIT License, and its source code and issue tracker are public.
Key features
Four furnace tiers
Iron, Gold, Diamond and Netherite furnaces cook at 2x, 3x, 4x and 6x the vanilla rate.
Speed module
A Speed Furnace Module increases cooking speed in exchange for doubled fuel use.
Fuel-saving module
A second module halves fuel use per smelt, trading away some cooking speed for lower running costs.
Polymer-based blocks
The custom furnaces are delivered through Polymer, so clients see them without a local install.

What the author says
Thanks to Polymer, this mod can be used server-side only. While it will also work fine on clients, you probably want to use a true port like this one instead. Make sure to enable Polymer AutoHost on your servers. Some translations are also available, follow this link to see all supported languages. If you end up…
