More Potion Effects

by YiXi_Xun

More Potion Effects adds new potion effects that cover damage, healing, shielding and reach, with several linked to enchantments on Forge and NeoForge.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.19.2 – 1.21.1

What it does

Its effects change how combat and healing work. Static Life holds back healing from damage until its duration runs out. Solid Shield lowers the damage other entities deal, and Injury Limitation keeps incoming hits below a share of maximum health that grows with the effect level. Revival grants one return from fatal damage per level, consuming one level on each use, while Resistance grants protection from negative effects, and at level V it negates them entirely.

Melee Domain surrounds the player with a zone that blocks attacks, and its radius can be set in the config. More Range increases attack reach per level. Restoration heals a percentage of health based on the damage dealt. Installation needs Client and server: both the server and every player need the mod, and it targets Forge and NeoForge for 1.19.2 – 1.21.1 with files for 1.19.2, 1.20.1, 1.21 and 1.21.1. Its source code is public, and the code is not open source under a license, so all rights are reserved.

Key features

  1. Damage-limiting effects

Injury Limitation keeps hits below a share of maximum health, and the share rises with the effect level.

  2. Revival effect

Each level grants one revival from fatal damage, restoring health and using up one level.

  3. Immunity zone

Melee Domain creates a zone around the player that blocks attacks, with a radius set in the config.

  4. Extended attack range

More Range adds reach to attacks, growing by one step with each level of the effect.

Use cases

Combat builds

Players mixing shields, revival and range effects can shape a fight around how they want to take and deal damage.

Potion-focused packs

Pack makers who build around brewing can add these effects alongside enchantment-linked potions.

Who it’s for: Players who want more potion effects on Forge or NeoForge, and server owners who run a modpack with combat-focused brewing.

How it compares

Full comparison

PotionEnchant is a Forge and NeoForge mod for 1.18.2 – 1.21.11 under the MIT License, linking potions to enchantments, which More Potion Effects also does for several effects. Both are client and server mods, the same environment as More Potion Effects.

Questions

Yes. Potions For More Potion Effects is a separate mod that requires it, so it has to be installed for that mod to work.

Does the mod have to be installed on the server?

Yes. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too.

Which loaders are supported?

Forge and NeoForge only. Files exist for 1.19.2, 1.20.1, 1.21 and 1.21.1.
