More Geodes
Geodes gain emerald, quartz, diamond, echo and lapis variants, each with its own contents and place in the world, for Fabric and Quilt.
What it does
Emerald geodes generate at high elevations in the Overworld and are most common in mountain biomes. Their emerald crystal buds can be harvested for emeralds, which gives players an alternative to trading for them and an option that can be automated. Quartz geodes appear under overhangs in biomes such as Soul Sand Valley, and diamond geodes are small flooded pockets found while mining, with one cluster type that drops a diamond scaled by fortune.
Echo geodes spawn in the Deep Dark, with layers of blackstone and sculk around a new Echo Block whose crystals echo when they make a sound. Lapis lazuli geodes are common in deserts and shallow in other Overworld biomes, with a pyrite middle layer that can be crafted into stairs, slabs and walls. Gypsum roses are a surface feature in deserts and badlands. The mod requires Fabric API and runs on the client and the server, so both need it. The code is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and files target 1.18.2 – 1.20.1, with the latest 1.9.3 for 1.20.1 released on 2024-08-03.
