More Crustacean
by White_Heket
With More Crustacean, players find crabs, lobsters and other shellfish creatures added to the Minecraft world, each modeled on a real-life species.
What it does
More Crustacean adds several species of crustaceans that populate existing biomes, so exploring a world brings new creatures to find. The creatures are modeled on their real-life counterparts, and the author has listed their scientific names in the project's source code, with translations submitted through GitHub. The roster centers on crabs and lobsters, with some other shellfish included.
Most of the creatures are edible, and a few have other uses that players discover while playing. The mod runs on Fabric for Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.20.2 and 1.20.3, with 1.2.2 for 1.20.3 as the latest file. Cloth Config API and Geckolib are required, and NutritionZ and the deprecated Farmer's Delight Fabric build are optional. Client and server both need the mod, and the code is released under the Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial Share Alike 4.0 license, so the mod is not open source.
