More Armor!

by iFamished

More Armor! adds several armor sets built from different materials, each with a helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots, for players who want more gear options.

ForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1

What it does

Each set is a full helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots made from one material, such as Lapis, Obsidian, Iron or Diamond. The stats of each set are adjusted to reflect how hard the material is to obtain and what it is known for, so Obsidian armor is stronger than Iron and weaker than Diamond, while Lapis armor suits enchanting because Lapis is used in the enchantment table. Players who want matching equipment for the tools can use the More Tools mod alongside it.

The mod is Forge only, with a single file for Minecraft 1.20.1 published on 2025-01-06. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. The code is not open source and is released under All rights reserved.

Key features

  1. Several material-based armor sets

Each set uses a different material, giving players a range of looks and protection levels beyond the vanilla armor.

  2. Full four-piece sets

Every set includes a helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots, so a complete outfit can be worn from one material.

  3. Material-based stats

Set stats follow the properties of their material, so an Obsidian set is sturdier than Iron and a Diamond set sits between them.

  4. Enchantment-friendly Lapis set

The Lapis armor is suited to enchanting, since Lapis is the material used at the enchantment table.

What the author says

Each of these armor sets stats have been adjusted by how hard they are to get, as well as each of their material's properties. For example, Lapis armor is likely to get better enchantments in an enchantment table, because Lapis is used to enchant things. Obsidian armor is stronger than Iron but weaker than Diamond…
