MongoAuth lets a Fabric server handle player logins by storing account data in a MongoDB or MySQL database.

What it does

Server-side authentication is the core of the mod. Accounts and their login data are kept in a MongoDB or MySQL database instead of local files, and only the server needs the mod, so players join without installing anything. Several servers can point at the same database and share one set of accounts. Builds exist for 1.17, 1.17.1 and 1.18.1 on Fabric, and the latest file, 1.1.0 for 1.18.1, dates from 2022-02-26. The code is open source under the MIT License.

Simpler Auth is a server-side Fabric mod under the MIT License, with files for 1.16.5 – 1.19. Authenticate is also server-side and open source, but it is licensed under the Apache License 2.0 and covers a much wider range of versions, 1.7.10 – 26.3. AutoAuth is a Fabric mod for 1.20.1 that runs on the client alone, so it does not cover the server-side login role that MongoAuth fills.
