More Axolotl Variants API

The API is a library for mod authors. It lets a mod register axolotl variants under its own namespace, the same naming approach Minecraft uses for most other registries but which the axolotl variants lacked. Because each variant is identified by its namespace, a variant from one mod can be summoned alongside vanilla variants and variants from other mods without name clashes. The API ships with no variants of its own.

Installing the API by itself changes nothing visible in the world. Its effects appear when a variant-adding mod is installed next to it. A tooltip on axolotl buckets then shows the age, variant and source mod of the axolotl inside, and the API can attach custom bucket item models to modded variants. The vanilla bucket textures are also replaced so each one matches its variant's texture, with the textures made by VRAXX.

The mod is required by four catalog mods, among them More Axolotl Variants Mod, More Axolotl, Ally Pack and AshAxolotl Axolotl Variant. Because it is a library, it should be present on both the server and the client for the bucket tooltips and textures to work.
