Magpie

by xSpleet

Magpie adds 36 passive and active artifacts that players find, collect and equip for small bonuses and effects on Fabric.

FabricClient and serverApache License 2.0Open source1.19.3 – 1.20.2

What it does

Artifacts are scattered through the world and appear in generated structures such as dungeons, and some come from trading, drops from entities or blocks. The mod's first artifact, the Lucky Pebble, is obtained by mining stone. Each artifact's tooltip describes how it works. Effects range from a small speed boost for exploration to conditional creative flight and a double jump, and a player cannot equip the same artifact twice.

Equipped artifacts go into six passive slots and one active slot. The active slot sits near the offhand, marked with a coin, and active artifacts use a recharge time instead of giving a constant effect. Passive artifacts can carry both bonuses and drawbacks. The client and server both run Magpie, so the server and every player need it. It is published for Fabric only, across five release versions, 1.19.3 – 1.20.2, under the Apache License 2.0, and the code is open source.
