MagicCarpet adds three tiers of flying carpet that a player crafts, mounts and steers, each tier with its own top speed and stop time.
What it does
Each carpet is a vehicle crafted from wool, string and a stick for the basic tier, from blaze powder and gold blocks for the next, and from a nether star, ender pearls and diamonds at the top. Emerald blocks join the recipe for the advanced tier. Once a player is on a carpet, movement is handled with the keyboard: WASD moves horizontally, holding space climbs while looking straight ahead or slightly up, and looking almost completely down descends.
The three tiers differ in how they behave. The first stops from 10 m/s in two seconds, the second from 20 m/s in one second, and the third from 40 m/s in half a second. The carpets are meant for getting around a world quickly, and the stopping times show how the top tier can be brought to rest sharply after a long run.
MagicCarpet is a Fabric mod for 1.21.11 and 26.1.2, and it needs Fabric API. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. The code is under the MIT License and is open source; the source, issue tracker and wiki are public.

Wool makes string is a Fabric mod for 1.21.1 – 26.3 that is server required and client optional, and it is not open source. Carpet EDTP Addition covers Fabric and Quilt for 1.21.10 – 26.2, is server-side only, and is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later.
